I discover this Ukranian egg painting workshop

I forgot to tell ya that once you blow the egg before hand, you have to cover the holes with wax.

And here they are me eggs hahhhahha.

Me olvidé decirles que una vez que los soplas antes de empezar el trabajo, tienes que cubrir los huevos con cera.

Y aqui estan mis huevitos jajjajajjaa.

Vera is showing us how to do this fun craft. There is one of the student showing how to put the egg

in the jar. The egg is a fresh egg, is good if is not. Some people blow them before hand, others afther the job is finish, but in this case you can't use the egg, so I like to do it before hand. The only thing with this is the empty egg will float in the die so we have to push it with the spoon and hold the spoon in the jar with gluetack.

Another important thing is that you have to wash your hands very well before you start becouse any hand lotion may not let the egg die.

How the colours come to reality?, you heat the egg on the side of the flame, and once it look moisture you clean the wax with a paper towell. Finaly a wood vanish need to be apply with disposable globes, deep in a finger would be enough. Then let it dry overnight and put another lyer of this vanish.

Vera nos muestra como hacer este entretenido craft. Aqui ven una estudiante sumergiendo el huevo en la anilina.
El huevo puede ser fresco pero también esta bien si no lo es,algunas personas soplan el huevo antes de este trabajo pues así pueden usar el huevo , porque si no, no puede ser consumido"; asi que yo prefiero hacerlo antes. Lo unico que el huevo queda muy liviano y flota, asi es que debemos empujarlo con la cuchara y sostener la cuchara con algún pegamento.

Otra cosa imprtante es que tienen que lavarse las manos muy bien pues cualquier losión puede estorbar el teñido.

Como puede verse el color después de todo esto?, debemos pasar el huevo por la llama de la vela y cuando se ve mojado limpiarlo con un papel. Finalmente debemos ponerle varnis que se usa para las maderas , se pone una vez con huantes desechables y se deja secar por la noche, luego le das otra mano de varniz.

Here we go with the tecnique: 1. wash the egg whith water and vinegar,2. use the lead pencil to draw, 3.heat the kistka then put wax on it, 4. proceed with the wax drawing ,5. deep the egg in yellow for five minutes, take away and dry., 6.draw again with wax the next step of the design, 7 deep in another colur and finally in to the black colur for 29 minutes.

Always start from light to dark colour.

Aqui vamos con la tecnica: 1. lavar el huevo con agua con vinagre, 2. dibujar con un lápiz de mina el diseño, 3. calentar el kistka y ponerle la cera de aveja, 4. proceder a dibujar con ella,5 sumergirlo en el color amarillo por 5 minutos, sacarlo y cecarlo, 6. dibujar otravez otra parte del diseño, 7. sumergirlo en otro color y finalmente ponerlo en color negro por unos 20 minutos.

Siempre hay que empezar por los colores claros primeros y luego terminar por los oscuros.

Today I went to Farfield Museum, to have Ukranian eggs decoration. It was very interesting to learn the process of this technique.

But before I continue I have to let you know that some people believe that the egg give good luck, represent live, is use in religion tradition and Ukrania where the ladies decorate them by Easter gathering together and singing religious songs. Another lady from Croatia, said that when a baby visit yur house for the fist tiem after birth, they give a decorated egg for luck, put sugar on the baby's cheek becouse the baby is sweet, and flower for the beautiful skin. An egg can take a few hours or in some cases days to do it.

I had no clue of the technique, but I learn that you use an egg wash with water and vinegar, preferably white but, but can be brown too. For the beginners we need to trace the egg with a lead pencil. Then we use a little tool cool kistka, you heat it on a candle's fire and then put the bee wax, and taking away all excess and start drawing on to the egg.

So if the egg is white and you draw on it at the end this will be white, then you put it on yellow die that is special for the eggs only, it must be cover the whole egg. After about 5 minutes, take the egg away of the die jar and dry it. Now you can draw another part of the design with the wax, once you finish it must be die with the colour you want, in this case was orange, and again after 5 minutes , take it away of the jar- dry and draw again.

So once you put a colour and add wax to the egg, the colour will stay under the wax, the last colour is black that take about 20 minutes to be die.

Hoy fuí al museo de Farfield a aprender a pintar los huevitos de Ukrania, fué interesante aprender la técnica para decorar estos huevos.

Antes de seguir quiero contarles que algunas personas creen que los huevos dan suerte, representan vida y son parte de la religion Ukraniana donde las mujeres se junta en Semana santa a decorarlos mientras cantan canticos religiosos. Una señora de Croasha nos conto que ellos cuando les visita un niño recién nacído, le dán un huevo decorado para la suerte , le ponen azúcar en la mejilla porque el niño es una dulsura, harina para su piel.

No tenía la mas mera idea de esta técnica, pero aprendí que el huevo se debe labar con agua con vinagere, luego se dibuja con lápiz grafito para las primerisas, y alli se le pone sera de abeja con esta herramienta llamada "kristka". Esta se calienta en una vela , cunado se pone la cera en el huevo, ella cubre el color que queremos, asi que luego lo sumerjes en amarillo, y una vez seco se pinta otra vez otra parte del diseóo para después volver a sumergírlo en otra pintura,en este caso el naranja. Estos toman unos 5 minutos en teñir, el negro sinembargo toma 20 minutos.

Un huevo puede tomar unas horas o a veces dias , segun sea el diseno .
