Kumihimo tutorial 2

I've choose crochet knitting cotton and a shiny golden to show ya the pattern and also because this colours match very well and they are elegant.

Ir you are using a cotton that is heavy (red) than the other one ( gold) , the light one make it a bit longer ( gold). You will need to cut about 2 miter length on each cotton, in this occasion we need 4 of them, so 4 cotton 2 meter length each, as you could see on the first photo the bunch of them are bend in half.

I want you to look at the first photo and see where the cotton is place and starting for the smallest number you could see that one end of a gold thread is place between 2 and 3 an the other one across between 20-21. The next thread is between 3-4 and 21-22.

Red: 10-11 and 28-29 / the following thread is between 11-12 and 29-30.

So there is a cross in the middle.

I forgot to tell ya that there is necessary to have some weight on the middle to help the cord to come down, I always find something simple and easy to use. In this case I use a weight and a hook people use to fish, and I put them together with a plastic thread.

So once you set the disc ,hook the weight in the middle.

Rule No 1: Set the loom in the numbers indicate by the pattern you are doing.

No.2: Right- top cotton goes down beside the bottom one on your right.

No.3: Left- bottom cotton goes up beside the upper one on your left.

4.Do one colour first and then move the circle to your right, opposite the clock wise.

5. So we satart on with the number 3 on the top and we bring it down to number 19, on bottom right. Then we take number 22 on our bottom left and we bring it to number 1 on the top left.

We then move the circle opposite the clock wise, we are infront of number 11 on our top right, and bring it to number 27 on the bottom right. Continue with number 29 on the bottom left and bring it up to number 9 on the top left.

Don't worries anymore about the number and do the same movement all the time, I just gave you the numbers for y to know what to do.

Look at the photo with me hand on it, please observe the way the cotton look like now, the red one is wide and the gold one is close, this is how it should be looking after a little while, this means that the red one is the last colour I work with, some times you may leve the disc to do something , so then you know that the open one is the last one you've done so continue with the close one. I will try to put a video about it.

Elegí este hilo para tejer a crochet y otro dorado mas liviano para que veas como queda el diseño. Si usas un hilo mas liviano que el otro, has el liviano mas larg.

Necesitamos 4 hilos de 2 metros de largo dos dorados y dos rojos. Los tomas todos y los doblas por la mitad como ves en la foto. Empezando por el número mas bajo, pondrás el hilo dorado en el númro 2 y 3 arriba, y abajo entre el 20 y 21, el próximo entre 3-4 arriba y abajo 21-22.

Rojo: 10-11 arriba y 28-29 abajo y finalmente 11-12 /29-30.

Asi que verás una cruz en el medio.

Me olvidé de decirles que necesitamos un peso en el medio del circulo para que ayude a bajar el cordón, a mi me gustan las cosas buenas- bonitas y baratas, asi es que en este caso usé un peso y gancho que usan los pecadores, lo uní con hilo plástico. Asi que cuando hayas puesto los hilos en su lugar, enganchas este peso en el medio.

Reglas: 1. Coloca los hilos en los numeros necesarios

2. El lado de arriba de la drecha va hacia abajo

3. El lado de abajo en la izquierda va hacia arriba.

4 .Mueve el circulo hacia la izquierda opuesto al movimiento del reloj.

5. Empezamos por el numero mas bajo.

Ahora baja el número 3 arriba al 19 abajo en tu derecha, y el 22 abajo a tu izquierda lo mueves al 1 arriba en la izquierda. Luego mueve el circulo opuesto al movimiento del reloj y quedarás en fente del númerno 10. Aquí mieves el 11arriba a la derecha al 29 abajo a la derecha.

No te preocupes más de los números, este movimiento tienes que hacerlo siempre solamete o hice para que entendieran mejor lo del movimiento.

Porfavor mira la foto donde está mi mano, como te daras cuenta después de algun tenemos el color rojo que se ve abiero y el color rojo cerrado, el rojo que está abierto es el último movimiento que hiciste, puede ser que te distrajiste y fuiste a hacer algo y se te olvidó cual fue tu último movimiento. Procuaré poner un video par que entiendan mejor, pero con esto ya pueden empezar.
